Having studied Entrepreneurship,
Computer Science and Mathematics at the universities in Vallendar,
Braunschweig, Tuebingen and Amiens, France, he gained his Ph.D. on Geometry at
the University of Karlsruhe. In 1996 he was involved in setting up the Centro
de Computacion y Grafica Aplicada in Caracas as a guest researcher, and from
1999 to 2007 lectured in Geometric Design at University of Braunschweig.
After
positions in Volkswagen's Research and Development headquarters, he moved in
2003 to newly founded Volkswagen AutoUni to establish the School of Science and
Technology. He was responsible for the M.Sc. concept on "Sustainable
Mobility" and for delivery of various learning content, ranging from
Management of Technology to Mobile Aging. He was heading AutoUni's activities
in Latin America and was responsible for Volkswagen's collaboration with the
MIT, Boston. He initiated the participation in the European Institute of
Innovation and Technology.
Since 2007 he is Founding Head of
Erste School of Banking and Finance, the forum for all training and learning
programmes of Erste Group Bank AG. The programmes focus on organizational
development, knowledge, and business networking among all entities in the 8
countries involved.
